WEDDINGS

MY PHOTOGRAPHIC APPROACH

My philosophy to photographing your wedding, as it is with all my photography, will be to blend artistic vision with a documentary approach. My aim is to cover your wedding or other special event like both a journalist and an artist and record the event as honestly as possible. I will document the entirety of the wedding event while respecting all boundaries set upon me by the wedding party and their guests. This includes wedding day preparation, ceremony, reception and any other activities that bear witness to the spirit of the event. The idea here is to get away from the more formal set of posed wedding pictures and to capture spontaneity. Of course, I do understand that there will likely be some posed shots required as well.

I can photograph using high resolution digital cameras or film. It's entirely up to you, but I would recommend digital.

COSTS

My approach to pricing is to keep things as simple as possible. You already have enough to worry about. There are two pricing options, an all inclusive package or flexible usage based pricing. Either way you decide to go, I will be flexible to accommodate your specific needs. There is a $30/roll extra charge for film.

ALL INCLUSIVE

The all inclusive package includes a full day of photography (from morning preparation to the last dance) with unlimited photography, proof prints of every picture (or Pictage proof magazine and CD), up to 50 album prints, album consultation and design, as well as the album itself. The base price of this package is $3300. That includes everything.

USAGE BASED

This option allows you to opt out of getting an album and album prints through me. The final price will also vary depending on how many rolls of film are used. The base price of $1700 includes a full day of photography - from morning preparation to the last dance. The total you spend will vary depending on what proofs and final prints you order. There is no obligation to buy any prints or an album - and certainly no pressure!

ADDITIONAL PRINTS

You have the choice of traditional custom prints or Pictage Crystal Archive prints. Pictage is an online service that allows for your event to be posted online so you, the guests, or anyone else you want can see the pictures and order prints from the web site. For more information about Pictage click here. These prices are for either color or black and white prints ordered after you receive your proof prints.

IMAGE BUYOUT

If you like, you can purchase the images (or negatives) for $500. This allows you to make as many prints from the negatives as you like. This allows you unlimited prints for your personal non commercial use.

DEPOSIT

50% is due at signing of the contract, the remainder of the costs is due when the proofs are delivered or the images are put online.

PORTRAITS

My philosophy to photographing portraits is also to achieve a natural and truthful image while creating an artistic statement suitable to who you are and what you want your picture to say. I will work in natural light as much as possible. I do not do formal studio sittings. Your portrait can be done in color, black & white or both. Once we agree to do a portrait I will work with you to come up with an approach and then will work at it until you are satisfied. It may only take an hour to get it done right, or it may take half a day or more. The costs are as follows:
